Sifat-e-Shamsun Auntora, a graduate of BRAC University has always been a creative enthusiast. Like any other child who loves playing with colors and papers from a young age, Auntora loved creating things out of her whim. Except she never let go of her crayons amidst the mundane life of adulthood. Since a very young age, she has loved writing. A lot of her motivation behind opening her store, ‘SugarRush’ comes from her love for writing. She says in the midst of all those cafe check-ins and make up enthusiasts, somewhere people who are fond of stationery have been lost. She wishes to revive people’s interests in writing and believes somewhere, everyday we are eager to go back to ourselves once in a while. Writing not just helps in oozing the creativity out of us, but is a good exercise to reconnect with oneself.

Whether it is drawing inspiration from her childhood stories or her favorite TV series, Auntora does it all. She says her parents have been her biggest strength in shaping her small dreams. Despite being employed in full time jobs, Auntora chose to start things on her own and her parents couldn’t be more proud. Some said it was a stupid decision to leaving secured jobs for her doodle art, but it hardly matters when two of the biggest pillars in your life have your back. Her father chimes at her pricing strategies and often they debate over the possibility of launching different varieties of products on her page. A little sqaubble with dad never hurt anyone though!
